Graham Brown!

Tell your life story in 3 sentences.
I was raised by wolves in the Maine woods, where I learned the value of always having clean underpants and a good pocketknife. Stanford roped me in with a free plane flight and a glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice, and I've been trying to spread flannel here ever since. I rather enjoy cookies.

How did you get involved in dance?
I grew up listening to my dad play contra dance music in the basement of a local church. Then I lived in Edinburgh for a year and fell in love with ceilidh dancing, because it's OK to be clueless and really sweaty; now at Stanford I've come to love the oversupply of feet to be stepped on and arms to be twisted in Social Dance classes.

What do you do besides dancing?
I nap religiously, preach the gospel of good food, and pray for snow.

What are your life goals?
Ultimately, I'd like to be able to look back on my life and say "yep, that was pretty darn good." Doing the hairy hippie backpacker thing might be fun for awhile; I'd love to become fluent in Swahili. I'd also like to return as a hippo, just for fun, but I guess that's not really a goal.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
Cheesemaking.
