Kat Snyder!

Tell your life story in 3 sentences.
When I was 6, my family moved from Palo Alto Drive, Arcadia, CA to Palo
Alto, CA with the moving company called "Snyder Moving". They gave us some
of their merchandise because they liked our last name and so for most of my
childhood I've bathed myself using cups with "Snyder Moving" written on
them. Then I went across the street to Stanford and I've been known as "a
local" ever since.

How did you get involved in dance?
I used to "dance" in my living room all the time, and then one day I decided
that the swing dance on that khaki jeans commercial looked really cool. When
Evan found out that I was going to Stanford, he told me that I had to take
Social Dance 1, so I did.

What do you do besides dancing?
I watch a lot of Buffy. Currently checking out Firefly, another of Joss
Whedon's pet projects. OK yeah, and I am in Chi Omega and Campus Girl
Scouts.

What are your life goals?
To build up a community of well-trusted friends and family where we can all
take care of each other and our kids. To help young girls develop leadership
skills and self-confidence. To take care of my body and soul, and to do
interesting work that I can be proud of.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
To stop time, and slow it down, too.
